Following a technical problem, the decision was made to remove Pierre Latour, AG2R La MONDIALE, from today’s race in The Digital Swiss 5.
From the start of the race, Latour’s speed and power output was monitored and the race organisers, along with technical staff at the virtual cycling platform ROUVY, established that there was a calibration issue with the trainer he was using, something that can happen in virtual racing.
Latour’s team was consulted and the issue could not be resolved while the race was under way. Therefore, it was agreed that he should be removed from the race.
